Statement.

My work explores the semiotics, multi-culturalism, internationalism and decolonisation of the Anglo-Indian’s in today’s context. Through my images I introduce an element of paradox and uncertainty. For me utopia is a combination of art, philosophy and poetry. My images depict my past means of living and my utopian hopes for the future. I reinvented traditional picture frames in a sculptured way to display digital artwork incorporating light and sound to enhance my images. The movement it provides has a kinetic feel to the piece and the light projected illusions help to de-materialise the spaces they are in. The light and sound, which includes noises, complete the sensory experience.

For me, I think Utopia is inside Art philosophy and poetry. Through my work I wish to break away from my past and make a new start, which is my Utopian mission.   My past life in the world of industry, where even in the machinery and the network of wiring, I saw exciting shapes and colour and is photographically represented and integrated with the Anglo-Indian traditional and old fashioned wisdom, sometimes wise, witty and inspirational to enlighten myself and the onlooker in a fine art way, which motivates me to an artistic paradise.   My images depict respect for my past means of living and my Utopian hopes which I wish to transform for myself tomorrow. I wish to communicate through my art to inspire the onlooker to think.
